Red tape scuppers Lok Ants move

The transfer of Ethiopian international Ramkel Lok Dong from St. Georges to St. Anthony’s has been cancelled due to red tape. Home Office spokesman Polo Flair said “Unfortunately due to Ramkel not having a full time job lined up, nor having played enough international football in the past 5 years we were unable to provide a work permit”.

The suggestion that Ramkel could have been a van boy for Ants Manager James McKenna as a way around the permit issue was quickly quashed by immigration lawyer Hugh Phelferett “One does not simply circumnavigate the law of the land with a quick job offer, sadly Ramkel will have to give up on his dream of pulling on the famous Govan’s Green and White.”

A case of what could have been for The Ants who will now face St Roch’s tomorrow without their African A-Lister.
