Fauldhouse hit Five as Scottish dream dies for Ants

Former Ants Keeper Jon Connolly came back to haunt the Ants today with a penalty save and a number of good saves which belies the 5-0 scoreline here at Parkview. Fauldhouse opened the scoring in the 4th minute when RHYS DEVLIN beat Bishop and the home side didn’t have long to wait for number two when JAMES MARTIN made it 2-0 after the 18th minute. The Ants had a glorious chance to reduce the deficit early in the second half but Duncan’s spot kick was saved and then to make matters worse Fauldhouse went up the other end and scored when RYAN STEWART netted in the 56th minute. The Ants came back into the game and Connolly denied Duncan on 3 separate occasions before Fauldhouse grabbed 2 goals in the final 10 minutes with goals from KYLE RICHFORD and GARY BONNES sealing the Hoose’s place in the 3rd round draw
