The Ants avenged their opening day defeat to Vale of Leven with a 1-0 victory at McKenna Park. In a game that won’t live long in the memory of those who attended CHRIS MCLAUGHLIN headed the Ants in front after 6 minutes from a Milarvie cross. Chances were at a premium with the Ants going close a few times and Vale having a goal chopped off rightly for offside with 5 minutes to go.
